Things the World Thought Would Never Happen....

Life has been great the past couple of months. We have hit some big milestones and learned of some unexpected news. We are just enjoying life and waiting for the news of where we will be going next in life. But in the mean time here are the highlights from our last few months!

YAY!!!! Now Kenny is a college graduate... He says a lot of people go to college for seven years.... We're just glad he's finally done with his undergraduate degree and actually has goals for the future in mind. He has finally finished all of his Dental School apps and we are just waiting to hear back about interviews. We could be moving to Ohio or Nebraska or just to Denver, but we have to see... For now Kenny is working at First Bank and teaching part time for Kaplan (the test prep company teaching DAT classes). Below are some pictues of the big evening. I couldn't be more proud of him!

After graduation with Kenny working in Longmont and me working in Fort Collins, we thought we would find some middle ground so we have moved to Evans, CO... It's just south of Greeley. Not exactly the place we were looking to go, however we really couldn't find another place to rent and we fell in love with this place, even if means me commuting... Plus it is super cute and NOT college housing!!!Seeing how we havent mentioned our pups lately we thought we would give them a shout out and a pic in the blog.... Arent they getting so big? Plus at her last visit to the vet Lily was over weight so we have had to keep her eating habits in check... But you'd be proud to know we are amazing dog owners according to the vet.... Excluding Triggers behavioral issues... He is alot like Kenny. Now to the most exciting, life changing, unexpected, and frightening thought of all.... We are going to be parents.... and couldn't be happier! We found out earlier this month that we will be having a little GIRL, and I have about driven Kenny nuts with all the things I want to buy for our Little Miss. Kenny was sure it was a girl from the beginning, but coming from a family of all girls my whole family was rooting for a boy. The ultra sound tech says she has chubby cheeks (which I'm told Kenny was a pretty chubby kiddo) but I wasn't all that slim either, so we may just have a chunk... But time will tell. Kenny joked that we dont have to count the toes on her right foot since you can count all 5 in the ultrasound picture. After 2 ultrasounds we got a profile picture (somewhat) but all in all they say the baby is healthy and doing great and we couldn't be more excited. C'mon December! I just can't wait to pinch, and kiss those chubby cheeks! For a few requests since i refuse to put belly bump pictures on facebook here ya go... P.S. I finally popped at 22 weeks.

A Long Over Due Update

Its crazy how time flies, it feels just like yesterday when we moved in to our new place and now our lease is almost up. We guess its time we finally shared our happenings since last year. First off we celebrated our one year anniversary on a cruise to the Bahamas.......

This is Kenny's postcard picture of the Carnival Destiny (Kenny is very proud of this picture). It was a much needed vacation. We got to spend 5 glorious days out on the beach and in the sun. We gourged ourselves on food and then topped it off with more free food... (since the food is one of the only free commotities on the ship we got our money's worth... well at least Kenny did) Then there were the great adventures we got to have. We chose three excursions, the one I picked was swimming with dolphins because it was on my bucket list. Kenny picked scuba diving and we both decided to feed and play with the stingrays. Below is a picture of us as were were pulling out of port in Miami with the cityscape in the background. And the Next one is us at the enterance to Half Moon Cay; Carnival's private Island. This is where we snorkled with the stingrays, and then spent the rest of the afternoon lounging around and indulging ourselfs on white beaches made with sand from the seashores of heaven... It was seriously so soft it was ridiculous... I dont know how else to describe it... We considered skipping the boat and staying there.

Our next adventure landed us at the Atlantis Resort. It was so beautiful, and way fun. You could make an entire vacation out of just the resort. We were sad we only got to spend one day there, but we plan on going back and spending some more time playing and seeing the shows, and having fun there. The picture is of the main hotel for the resort.... The bridge across the two towers is the Michael Jackson suite and runs 25,000 per night... Guess that wont be our room on our return trip...

The resort is amazing with aquariums and swimming pools and waterslides ... Just pack a lunch because that was the worst 10 dollar cheeseburger I have ever eaten. But besides all that we got to go and swim with and play with dolphins. We sure enjoyed the experience. However I think Kenny enjoyed it more with that big fat kiss he laid on that dolphin. For the record I faked the kiss and told Kenny that that is what most people do... They dont actually KISS the dolphin... Ha Ha

Coming back to our boring jobs and school was really hard, I really think we would make fantastic beach bums... But responsibility got the better of us and we returned to good 'ol Fort Collins Colorado. The rest of June was filled with work and settling into the new house... Kenny had a golf class but that doesnt count for anything. Summer flew by and was filled with mostly work and the occasional fun weekend.
Some of our Fall and Winter highlights were:
Kenny Started his Senior year of college
We were made the CTR 4 teachers in our Ward's Primary
Kenny made a life changing decision...
and Andrea got a raise at work

As the year rounded to a close we found ourselves in Blackhawk for my work Christmas Party. We were happy to get a weekend away on the bank's dollar. Seeing how we were so busy with school and work it was a nice weekend. After going 24 years without ever winning a raffle or drawing between the two of us we cashed in all our luck and won 3 prizes, one of which was the grand prize. We enjoyed the dinner and the evening. It was a great start to the holiday.

On the home front we still have our two continuously mischevious dogs and their antics to deal with. Trigger is a jumper and has way too much energy, and Lily is stubborn and thinks she is the queen bee around here. She definately is a burrower, and loves to be wrapped up in blankets as is seen by the picture below. However, when a blanket wasnt available, the sleeve of my coat made an acceptable substitue until she got stuck and couldnt move. The funny thing is she liked it, and didnt even make a sound. Kenny practically collapsed he was laughing so hard when he found her, but if he hadn't found her who knows how long she would have stayed there? They're crazy but we love them anyways.

To explain Kenny's life changing decision, if you haven't heard he has decided to go to dental school. The past months he has been studying for the Dental Admissions Test and after this past weekend we are pretty sure that dental school will be in our near future!!!

This is excited Kenny holding up his score sheet after he took the test and the score he is pointing at on the bottom picture is his Academic Average, which as you can see he scored in the 93rd percentile. Which aparently means he did really well... I am really proud of him!!

This about wraps up the highlights of our last year. Now we are just looking forward to Kenny graduating on May 13th (by the way you are all invited). We are excited to see what the future holds, and where dental school will take us.
